Sensory language poem - max page

Buildings, cars, people, food, animals
Food, people, trash, animals, paint
Food, people, liquid, smoke, soap
Fire, wind, footsteps, music, tv
Atoms, hair, feet, wood, ice
--------------------------------

The buildings were full of people
Atoms vibrate to the footsteps in the steeple
Animals smoke from the fire on the ledge
The smell of hair lingers like scraps in a tooth’s wedge

Cars zoom by drenched in war paint
Hauling soap to cleanse the food that ain’t
Cleaning this trash will be easy
It will work ‘As seen on TV”

Later in the day feet fall on ice
The gods are unhappy, this will not suffice
The music beats with the surge of the wind
A devastating storm the gods will send

Their sacrifice was in vein
Unaware their choice was loved by Kane
Liquid fire will kill you all
For choosing the wrong to fall
