Sarah Jackson - Intro
Hello Everyone! As you know is my name is Sarah, I was born in Illinois and I lived there for two years before moving to Missouri. My parents are from southern Missouri and that is why we moved back. I also have two brothers, Cole who is sixteen years old, and Samuel who is twelve years old. They are also free if anyone wants to take one!! My parents are still together after twenty-one years and have we have all had are ups and downs but we are a pretty close knit family. Right now I am in my second semester of college, and I am working on a getting my general eds. to become a teacher, my preferred field is Elementary or upper High School. I love teaching a child something and seeing them understand it and at the end they can remember what I have taught them and apply it. I used to teach Swimming Lessons to people of all ages, and it was an amazing feeling seeing what each kid could accomplish after only a few short weeks, and I still work with children every day in my local YMCA childcare; I also work in the indoor pool as a lifeguard part time as well. I have also found the love of my life last year, though we have only been going out a short amount of time, we love each other very much and have decided to take things slow while we are still in school! And I know what you guys are all thinking, pshh they are to young! and It'll never last, but you know what? Anything can happen and I am willing to take that bet.

Hi Sarah,
ReplyDeleteI understand your love working with children. They are unconditionally grateful. In my opinion taking it slow, whatever it may be is best.
I can understand the fulfillment that comes from working with children, too. My family and friends have a bushel and I'm usually the babysitter. ;) Don't let anyone tell that you that young love is always doomed. I'm proof it's not always the case.
ReplyDeleteIt's really cool you want to be a teacher, I too want be teacher at the high school level. There is just something gratifying about working with kids.
ReplyDeleteI wish I could swim :(
ReplyDeleteMy elementary teachers are still the most vivid in my mind because they taught me so much and it all was so new to me. I love your attitude towards your relationship, and i know exactly how you feel. i met my boyfriend 3 years ago and i was never one for dating because school and sports were my top priorities. But we've been in a relationship for over two years now and going strong. Best of luck to you and Garrett!
ReplyDeleteIt's really good to hear about your parents sticking together. I'm old fashioned when it comes to that. You're right about kids. Their little sponge like minds are amazing and usually hilarious.
ReplyDeleteOn the subject of love, since the rest focused on either your teaching or parents, do what you FEEL is right, listen to your heart, not the nagging voice in your head. I just married my high school crush, and am very proud of the fact that we didn't let what others thought about us get in the way of us being happy. Trust, love, and communicate with each other on a regular basis and commit to each other alone and you will make it through anything.
ReplyDeleteI also have a 16 year old brother. I love him to pieces, I do. But man, is he a hand full!! But then, you got two younger brothers! That's two hands that are full. I bet you love it, though. Gosh, I know I would.
ReplyDeletecongratulations on the recent marriage. I just married my best friend a few months ago. No matter what happens always remember why you fell in love with them in the first place
