Hello,
Well lets start with something basic. I am 18 living on my own and I moved here from Kansas City. While in high school I was highly involved with extra curricular activities mostly involving sports. The sports that I was involved in were football, golf, track, baseball, wrestling, and cross-country. I have been to state for multiple reasons and have been successful in all. My state awards include entomology 2nd place, cross-country 3rd place and 9th in my weight class for wrestling. I plan on becoming a RN in the next two years. That is just a rung in the ladder for me. The pinnacle I plan to reach is far superior.
In consummation of school I would like to be a neurosurgeon. I first fell in love with the med field when my father went to OTC to get his RN when I was around the age of seven. He would bring me text books at the end of the semester for me to read over. The one I found the most interesting was his anatomy book. One can assume I was more inclined to read that book because of the pictures. You would not erroneous It did grasp my attention what aided in the study of the pictures was my love for reading. When i was a child it engrossed my life and till this day it still consumes a lot of my day. I studied that book , but the nervous system captured my attention the greater than the rest.
When I was young I pondered many questions I still have about society and it's mannerisms. I pondered many of the questions psychologist ask now. I also love working with my hands, so I put my loves together and neurosurgery is really what i am passionate about. I used my job to my advantage to help further my interest in the med field. I have befriended a retired neurosurgeon who bequeath his neuro-anatomy books and others to me. I hope to learn a lot in this class and it is indubitable that I will. :)

ReplyDeleteAnthony- I believe we had a class together last semester. I think that it is amazing that you have a plan for yourself. It's a challenge to know what you want when you're young and living on your own. I hope that you succeed in this class, and I hope to get to know you a little more this semester! :) Nice to see you again!
ReplyDeleteNeuroscience is so interesting. Good luck and I hope you do well. P.s. Good to see you again!
ReplyDeleteBest of luck to you in your dreams man. I never could get my mind wrapped around the healthcare field, I just don't think that way I guess. I just figured that you get to be mechanically inclined, or physically inclined, associated with healthcare. My wife is like that, her brains just work that way.
ReplyDeleteAnyways, enough rambling, again, best of luck to you.
You like golfing too? Maybe if we ever have any free time we could go play a round. Having free time is rare for me but we will see. I love playing too, but Im not great. I shoot around 100
ReplyDeleteYou seem to know what you love and how to get it. Good luck with your career. I think that is a wonderful profession as my grandson sees a neurologist due to seizures.
ReplyDeleteYour a big sports fan, me too. I played baseball in high school but watch all sports. Are you a Cardinals fan, or Royals?
ReplyDeletecan I say both?? :)
DeleteThat's cool you made it to state. I never did. I got hurt in football. That slowed me down. A buddy text me a picture of my Jr high mile record still up. I bet you have a ridiculous amount of metals.
ReplyDeleteI loved reading this. It's so obvious how passionate you are, and I loved your word choice. I approve and wish you the best of luck on accomplishing your dream.
