My name is Jonny, and this is the first class, on my first day in college. I've been in the work force since I was 14, and haven't really had a decent chance at getting an education for a long time. Bills need to be paid, and family come's first, so on and so forth. Now it's my turn.
I woke up one morning not so long ago, after a particularly hard day at work and thought to myself "This can't possibly be what I am going to spend the rest of my life doing". So I decided to change the rules. Just because no one in my family has graduated from college, doesn't mean I can't. This is my chance to make something of myself, and you can bet your shoe laces that no one, and nothing is going to stand in my way.
On a lighter note, I have been amateur writing for some time now, and am looking forward to challenging myself with classes like this. Call me a dork if you like, but I have always enjoyed reading. In doing so (quite frequently), I feel that I have gained a decent understanding of what it is to write. I'm hoping that you all are as interested in this class as I am, and I am looking forward to reading what you guys have to say as well. Until next time-------Jonny.

Glad to see that I am not the only person who finds writing and having a better understanding of the english language to be a good thing. I'm rooting for you in your situation and know that you will suceed if you strive to. Be a cynosure for the rest of your family.

I would never call you a dork for enjoying learning about writing and English skills, because I enjoy learning about the subjects too! :) Oh... good choice of Calvin and Klein comic! ReplyDeleteI enjoyed reading your intro, I am also a writer, I have started writing so many books, I can hardly count the notebooks, and I hope to finish one one day, if not to have published then for my children to read, and I also enjoy DIY! Do you have a Pinterest?

ReplyDeleteI wonder if you've ever seen the film Benny and Joon. I'm actually not quite sure why, but you're introduction reminded me of it. It's a great film. If you haven't, I highly recommend it.
